Remnant Chosen by Grace (Romans 11:5)

Gods Remnant:

A small remaining quantity of something…

Confidence unexplainable in God’s word…

Hope in hardship…

Authority…

Optimism about the future…

Who is the Remnant?…

The word of God tells us exactly who the remnant is: God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth and to save your lives by a great deliverance. Genesis 45:7.   In this passage, Joseph revealed himself to show his brothers that it was he that they had sold into slavery. This was God’s plan to place him in the position because he was chosen (remnant) to help his family and all the people from the famine that overtook the land. This was to fulfill God’s plan in his life.

The remnant is the chosen of God who are called from the foundation of the world to stand their ground and follow God with all their hearts, souls, and minds. God’s chosen elect will not give in to anything because it was told by mere man what is right and wrong. Not agreeing with what the world is saying and doing that is contrary to the word of God. The remnants are those who, amid trials and hardships, still chose to stand on the firm foundation of the word of God; even when the going gets tough, the tough get going and always strive to be excellent. They are not perfect, but they are pure at heart to come before God’s throne, repent, take up the mantle, and move forward with the mandate of God. The remnant are the ones who don’t give up; they stand continually on the word of God and become more rooted and grounded in speaking the truth of God. They bring forth the order of Melchizedek. The Lord hath sworn and will not repent; thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Psalms 110:4.   The remnant will be the priesthood authority of the 12 Apostles of Jesus and Old Testament prophets, higher than that of the Aaronic (descended from Aaron or lesser order) authority of John the Baptist and of the Levites. Before they do anything and go anywhere, they wear the full armor of God and stand until God tells them their next move. In the word of God, it tells us though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved. Roams 9:27. WOW! This sounds like the secret army of God.

Family, we are the remnant, and our children are the remnant to bring the order and the balance of God’s principles into a dark world that does not realize they need it. Order and balance are the work of God through us to bring forth his marvelous light to show the world that he is their God and that he loves them.

The remnant will not give up, will not fall back, and will not give in. They will stand like a force that has never seen to overtake the evil forces of this world and bring it to submission in the name of Jesus. The remnant will be the force field, shield, and gate that will not be moved because they are rooted in the word of God. No weapons formed against them shall not prosper. Ten thousand shall fall at their right side and a thousand at your side, but it shall not come near you. Psalms 91:7-12.

According to the book of Gideon, the 300 soldiers who remained with Gideon will be the army he needs to defeat the Philistines. The remnant will be those who will stand and keep watch, as well as those who are attentive and sober-minded enough to do so. They shall not be afraid of the terror by night, the arrow that flies by day, the pestilence that walks in darkness, or the destruction that lays waste at noonday. Psalms 91:5-8

I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah (sheepfold or enclosure), as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. Micah 2:12.   And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:16. Wow! This is a cross-reference of what God is ultimately going to do.

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice, and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. John 10:16. Do you know what this means? It means God will call the remnant from all the corners of the world to become one fold, under one God and under one army. This is HUGE! We’ll be a formidable force to be reckoned with. Thank you Lord.
