Mind: Webster’s dictionary tells us that the mind is the element or complex of elements in an individual that feels, perceives, thinks, wills, and especially reasons. Keep your mind active as you grow older. The conscious mental events and capabilities in an organism.
Let’s face it; the offensive player is the devil desiring to lead you into pain, suffering, scars, shame, avoidance, grief, condemnation, uselessness, unloved, never good enough, self-doubt, and self-pity.
Do not be conformed to this world over your mind with God’s word, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing, you may discern what the will of God is, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2. If you do not take control of your mind with the word of God. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night so that you may be careful to do everything
written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Joshua 1:8. Yes, I understand how difficult it is, but it demands diligence on your part and meditation on good and wonderful things. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. Philippians 4:8. You are not alone. Your Father, the great physician, is rooting for you. I’m not suggesting you don’t require outside assistance. I support doctors who are well-equipped to assist those who need assistance in putting things into perspective. I implore you to always put God first in your difficulties, troubles, and concerns. He tells us that he will perfect those things that concern us. Psalm 138:8.
God is the finest defender against the improper filters invading your mind and thinking. He is battling for you to be free of undesired past, present, and future. Essentially, you have God testing you to help you become the best version of yourself and the devil assaulting your thoughts and yourself for being hard on yourself for allowing uninvited things to enter your life and bring you to a point of unhappiness and doubt. I rebuke the devil in Jesus’ name right now. There is nothing God cannot accomplish to turn your mourning into dancing. Taking on life’s unwelcome heaviness is too much to bear on your shoulders. The word of God tells us that his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Matthew 11:30.
We give too much attention and power to the devil. He is not worth your time and your energy. There are more vital matters to consider that will offer peace to your soul and spirit as you follow God’s instructions for the calling you have on your life. God wants to set you free and assist you in reaching the next level of glory and breakthrough. The devil knows his days are numbered, and he will do whatever he needs to derail you, kill you, destroy you, and steal from you. He works in your thoughts to make you believe that you came up with the ideas of wrongful acts or thinking. You are the only one that can give room to what comes into your mind. Do not give the devil dominion over your birthright. He wants to destroy you so that you will not get close to your calling and to bring his house down. Don’t you dare give it to him on a platter.
Remember, God is the defense player who fights for you; the devil is the offensive player that wants to come against you because you have the Holy Spirit in you. If the world hates you, know that it has hated Jesus before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world; therefore the world hates you. John 15:18-20.
Okay, let’s use a football team as an example. So how you maneuver and position yourself will determine what game you will call to bring a win into your situation. You have the Holy Spirit that will bring conviction of what is right before playing the game or that the outcome of you calling out the wrong game will get a loss.
Don’t permit your mental situation to play you. Don’t let it be a vocabulary you will speak over your life. God has given us a sound mind. He has given us the tools to renew our minds daily. The only way we can renew our thought process and put our thinking process is by meditating on the word of God. If you need support, seek your church for help. You have the inheritance and the promises of Abraham on your life. You are the child of the most high God.
Remember as God is, so are you.
The word of God tells us that the spirit is willing but the flesh is week. Matthew 26:41. He goes on to say that watch and pray that you will not enter into temptation. Again it starts in the mind before it manifests. It is almost premeditated. The battle over our sins begins in the mind. The only way we can win is through the power of Jesus Christ.
Now you are probably saying, how long do you have to go through this until you get your total healing and wholeness? It all depends on you. You are the only one that can put Gods word into practice. Reading the word is easy, but living the word that is where the challenge is. It also depends on how long you are going to go into circles until you are sick and tired of being sick and tired. It is okay to have help and to be accountable to one another, that is how iron sharpens iron. Didn’t God tell us that he is faithful and just to finish what he has started? Philippians 1:6. The word of God also reminds us, that we can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us. Philippians 4:13. In life we put one foot forward to activate our next steps or move. Each step is a step of faith. The word of God tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6. As you can see, faith is the key that can turn any situation, circumstance, sadness, anxiety, provision, long healthy life, relationships, parenting, and life to fall into the right order of having a Godly lifestyle. It goes on to say be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:6-7. God is near you more than you want to believe. The word of God tells us in Psalm 40:1-3, I waited patiently for the Lord
, aAnd He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, Out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth—Praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.
My beautiful sisters and brother, yes, we all have shortcomings, but we will never give up and give in. How many of us have experienced God in so many ways, levels, seasons, months, years, and decades? We know that he was, is, and always be with us. God is so dedicated to us that nothing goes passed him without him not having the capability to have everything work on our behalf.
